Dear ep1 red VCIS parents and guardians,
The children of ep1 red at Varee Chiangmai International School very recently went on a fun education field trip to Chiangmai’s famous Umbrella Village and Thai Silk Factory.
The reason for the visit was to educate the children about Chiangmai’s unique arts and crafts.
The children of EP1 Red had the opportunity to talk to all the people involved in the various stages of manufacture and to also see at first hand how these beautiful hand made paper umbrellas and silk materials were made, right in front of them.
As you can see from the images below all the children had a really exciting time and learnt a great deal about Chiangmai’s unique artistic heritage.
I hope you enjoy.
